Download Delimixx

Version 0.3.0 (prototype). A free early build for Windows 11 (64-bit, x86-64). One limit: you can have up to 20 files (tabs) open at a time.

Delimixx is a CSV / TSV editor for Windows that saves your files back byte for byte unless you edit them. No account is needed.

The prototype is planned to be withdrawn after the full release. Copies you already have keep working; there will be no updates or support after that.

Install

  1. Download the ZIP and check it first (see Check your download below), then extract the whole folder to a place you like, for example C:\Tools\delimixx. Keep the files together: delimixx.exe needs the DLL files and the lang folder next to it.
  2. Run delimixx.exe: nothing to install, no account. This early build is distributed as a ZIP only. Open a CSV or TSV file with File > Open or by dragging it onto the window.

To remove Delimixx, delete the folder (and %USERPROFILE%\.delimixx-prototype for the settings). Backups and sidecar files live next to your own files and are not removed automatically.

System requirements

  • Windows 11, 64-bit (x86-64). Windows 10 and earlier, macOS and Linux are not supported.
  • Memory: the whole file is loaded into memory. In our test, a file with a million rows and ten columns (about 70 MB) used about 740 MB after opening; operations that touch every cell can briefly need up to about 1.4 GB more. Delimixx warns you before opening a file that may not fit.

Check your download

Do both checks if you can.

1. The checksum

In PowerShell, in the folder with the ZIP:

The value must match the SHA-256 shown above.

2. The signature

Right-click delimixx.exe, choose Properties > Digital Signatures, select the signature and press Details. It should say "This digital signature is OK" and show a timestamp. The publisher is the individual name of the operator of Quintastella, not the brand name, because the code-signing certificate is issued to a person. Certificates are issued by Certum.

If Windows shows a warning

Delimixx is signed, but a new publisher has no reputation with Windows SmartScreen yet, and a signature does not remove the warning at once: reputation builds over time as more people download the program. You may see "Windows protected your PC" or "unrecognized app"; it may appear again with a new version, and it may or may not appear on your PC. The publisher name and the SHA-256 above are how you can check that the file is genuine. If both match, choose More info and then Run anyway.

Language, updates and privacy

  • The interface starts in English; switch to 日本語 on the welcome notice or in the settings.
  • The prototype does not connect to the internet unless you ask. The update check is off by default; turn it on in the settings, or press Check for updates on the App Information page. It only looks for a newer version and never downloads the program for you: come back to this page to get it. Details: Privacy Policy.

Delimixx includes open-source components. The full list with licenses is in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt inside the ZIP and on the Open-source notices page. The user interface is built with Slint.
